This is a seasonal position based on Village Travel's needs to cover last minute requests in times of emergency. Drivers must have a minimum of 2 years experience operating the make and model of motorcoach we have a need to fulfill. During your part-time, on demand, employment with Village Travel, you will be required to operate per our guidelines and adhere to all company policies and procedures. While on the road, you will operate a motorcoach to transport passengers over specified or irregular routes to local or distant locations according to schedules and/or itineraries. One must be flexible to do whatever is required to fulfill the customers needs so long as it's legal and falls within Village Travel's core values. Compensation:
$200 per day
1 travel day paid on front end and tail end of revenue generating days in a motorcoach
Assists passengers loading and unloading
Regulates Heating and air systems, lighting, and audio/video systems for passenger comfort.
Complies with local traffic regulations and applicable state and federal regulations.
Reports delays or accidents.
Inspects bus as required per FMCSA rules and company policies.
Loads and unloads baggage in baggage compartment.
Fuels vehicles when necessary.
Reads schedules and itineraries, interprets maps, processes accident and incident reports, and prepares all necessary company paperwork (including, but not limited to DVIRs, Log Sheets, Work tickets).
Be at least 25 years old.
Possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent
US citizen or permanent Visa
Possess a valid Class B (or higher) Commercial Driver’s License with Passenger endorsement, and no air brake restriction.
Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Pass a DOT physical given by a physician certified on the FMCSA National Registry and approved by the Company.
Must have an acceptable driving record (MVR):Have no more than 2 moving violations within the last 12 months
Have no more than 2 moving violations within the last 3 years.
Have no more than 1 minor accident within the last 3 years.
Have no major accidents, no reckless driving charges, no DUI’s, and no DWI’s. (Failure to appear, for any of the above citations or charges, will be considered a violation.)
Have no suspensions or revocations within the last 10 years.
Must comply with all other applicable qualifications for employment established by regulation and by the Company.
Must satisfactorily demonstrate acceptable driving behaviors during a road test
Must be physically capable to perform essential job functions, including the ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
